Overview
Multi-Location Purchase Orders enable users to create a single purchase order that delivers to multiple warehouse locations simultaneously. This functionality streamlines procurement processes when inventory needs to be distributed across various delivery points.
Purchase Order Types
The system supports two distinct multi-location PO types:
Cross Doc
With this PO type, all PO quantities will be first delivered to the delivery location, which is selected at the time of PO creation, and then, through stock transfer, inventory will be distributed to the selected warehouses as per the defined allocation.
Dropship
With dropship, inbound can be directly done at the destination locations using the same purchase order.
Once PO is created, inventory will be distributed to the selected warehouses by the vendor as per defined allocation.
How to Create a Multi-Location PO?
Navigation: Procurement >> PO Create/Edit >> Multiple Location
Open the multi-location page in procurement and feed all the required details required.
Choose the location from manage allocation. Once the location for allocation has been chosen then the user will choose the allocation method in which the Purchase order Quantity will be distributed among the location i.e.
Even Distribution : Equal Qty will be distributed among selected locations in manage allocation.
Custom Ratio : User can define the ratio in which he wants to distribute the PO qty to the selected location in the manage allocation.
After manage allocation, the user will click on add sku button to add sku to this PO and then he will confirm and release the PO.
Cross Doc :
In case of Cross doc one new tab will be visible to select the order processing flow (B2B or B2C).The STO that is created for the distribution among recipient locations will follow this order processing flow.
Once the PO is released, a new tab will appear on the Create/Edit page where users can view the Child STOs that were auto-created based on the defined allocation.
Drop Ship :
For drop ship, the B2B and B2C options will not be visible. Once the PO is released, a new tab will appear on the Create/Edit page displaying the Child POs that were auto-created based on the defined allocation.

FAQ
What should I do if the PO status is stuck at "PO in Release" and not updating to "Released"?
If the PO status is stuck at "Release in Process" and not progressing to "Released", please follow these steps:
When the PO status shows in "Release in Process" status, it means the system is currently executing the process to split the PO based on the defined ratio.
Please allow 10 to 15 minutes for the process to complete. The system will automatically progress the status to “Released”.
If the status does not update to "Released" even after waiting, contact your account manager to initiate an investigation.
Your account managers will verify whether the scheduled job (allocateChildPO) is functioning correctly.
