Warehouse Management:

Change Requests/ Enhancements/ Improvements:

  • OTP-Based RTV & DN Handover for Enhanced Security

  1. We’ve introduced an OTP-based verification feature to improve security and accuracy in RTV (Return to Vendor) and DN (Delivery Note) handovers.

    1. RTV Handover: An OTP is sent to the driver’s mobile number for verification before goods are handed over to the vendor. The driver’s name and mobile number are recorded to ensure correct delivery.

    2. DN Handover: For inbound discrepancy (Discrepancy Note) handovers, an OTP is sent to the recipient’s mobile number. The recipient's name, mobile number, and vehicle number are recorded for accurate tracking.

  2. Quickship & Confirm Manifest Screens: In the Quickship Popup (B2C) and Confirm Manifest Screen (B2B), new fields are available to capture the driver’s name and mobile number, with the option to send and verify OTP.

  3. Customizable for B2B & B2C: This feature can be configured at the vendor level.

Benefits:

  1. Improved Security: OTP verification ensures that goods are handed over to the correct parties, reducing the risk of discrepancies.

  2. Enhanced Accountability: Capturing detailed recipient and driver information improves traceability and responsibility during handovers.

  3. Customizable Solution: The ability to configure the OTP feature at the vendor level offers flexibility for different business models and vendor ratings.

  • Short Pack Process for B2B

  1. We’ve introduced a short pack functionality for B2B orders, allowing users to adjust or remove quantities during the packing process for better accuracy.

  2. Short Pack Functionality: Users can manage cases where the packed quantity differs from the picked quantity, such as due to incorrect items, quality issues, or damage during processing. Adjustments are made directly in the system.

  3. New "Short" Button: The "Short" button has been added to the following modules:

    1. Sort to Box (Web)

    2. Sort to Box (WMS App)

    3. LPN Detail Screen (Web)

  4. Popup for Short Pack Adjustments: A popup allows users to input the short-packed quantity and specify the reason for the adjustment. These items are automatically moved to the bin designated for "shortpick" and "shortpack."

Benefits:

  1. Increased Flexibility: Users can easily address quantity discrepancies during packing, ensuring a smoother process.

  2. Enhanced Tracking: By specifying reasons for short packing, the system offers improved visibility into inventory changes and helps track issues like product quality or damage.

  3. Streamlined Workflow: Automated movement of short-packed items to the designated bin reduces manual steps and ensures order accuracy.

  • Last Box Alert for Packers

  1. We’ve introduced a "Last Box" alert feature to improve visibility and coordination during the sorting process for outbound deliveries.

  2. Completion Notification: Previously, the system displayed success messages only for individual LPNs, without indicating if sorting for the entire outbound delivery was complete. Now, a soft green-background message appears on the Sort to Box screen when all boxes for an order are sorted across stations.

  3. Actionable Insights: The notification informs users that sorting is complete, prompting them to consolidate LPNs onto pallets and move them to the outbound lane.

  4. Availability: This feature is available on both the web interface and the WMS app.

Benefits:

  1. Enhanced Clarity: Packers are alerted when sorting for an entire order is completed, eliminating uncertainty about order status across stations.

  2. Improved Workflow: Timely notifications allow users to take immediate action, such as consolidating and moving LPNs to the outbound lane.

  3. Seamless Coordination: Ensures better communication and efficiency between packing stations, reducing delays and errors.

  • Zone-Wise Picklist Grouping Methods

  1. We’ve introduced a new functionality that allows users to choose the grouping method when creating a picklist, offering more flexibility in how items are grouped for picking.

  2. Customizable Grouping Method: Previously, the system grouped items by order, which often resulted in items from the same or nearby locations being split across multiple picklists. While this method minimized the need for post-picking consolidation and sorting, it was less efficient for processes where consolidation and sorting were already in place.

  3. New Grouping Options: Users can now select their preferred grouping method when generating a picklist, allowing for more efficient picking operations based on the warehouse's specific needs.

Benefits:

  1. Improved Flexibility: Users can tailor the picklist grouping method to fit their operational processes, improving efficiency.

  2. Optimized Picking Process: For warehouses with consolidation and sorting workflows, the new grouping options reduce unnecessary splits and streamline picking.

  3. Better Control: By selecting how items are grouped, users can optimize picklist creation to match warehouse layout and inventory management strategies.

  • Option to Capture Reason for Accepting Items During Inbound QC

  1. We’ve introduced a feature in the Inbound QC process that allows users to capture the reason for accepting items that pass quality checks.

  2. Reason Capture on Confirm: Users can now input the reason for passing SKUs during the inbound QC process. An option has been added to the confirm button to save this information.

  3. Configurable Reasons: If enabled in the configuration, users can define reasons for acceptance from other master data, providing flexibility in tracking different scenarios.

  4. Use Cases: This feature supports tracking reasons such as approving a product for sale at a discount or as a refurbished item after addressing minor issues.

Benefits:

  1. Enhanced Tracking: Capturing the reason for passing items through QC provides better visibility into quality control decisions, especially for products requiring special handling.

  2. Improved Decision-Making: Users can track the rationale behind accepting items, such as plans to sell at a discount or as refurbished, helping inform inventory strategies.

  3. Customizable Options: The ability to define reasons based on the business's specific needs adds flexibility and control to the QC process.

  • Pick Task Sequence Based on Bin Order in App

  1. We’ve updated the app's logic for “By Order” picking to include bin sequencing, ensuring that bins are suggested in the correct sequence during the picking process.

  2. Enhanced Bin Sequencing: Previously, the app did not suggest tasks by bin during “By Order” picking, causing inefficiencies as pickers had to travel back and forth. With this update, the app ensures bins are sequentially suggested, reducing unnecessary movement.

Benefits:

  1. Improved Efficiency: Pickers can complete tasks faster by following a logical bin sequence, minimizing travel time and effort.

  2. Optimized Workflow: Sequenced bin suggestions streamline the picking process, reducing picker fatigue and increasing productivity.

  3. Better Resource Utilization: Efficient picking reduces time spent on each order, allowing pickers to handle more tasks within the same time frame.

Key Bug Fixes:

  • Cycle Count Line Level and Header Level Status Mismatch

  1. We have resolved a bug in the cycle count functionality.

  2. When the paramcode CYCBINHOLD is disabled, confirming the cycle count updates the line-level status to "Closed."

  3. However, previously, the header-level status was incorrectly shown as "Partial Posted" instead of the expected "Closed" status. This issue has now been corrected.

  • LPN Details in Inventory Move History Export Report

  1. In the inventory move history export report, we have added two columns, “From LPN” and “To LPN.”

  2. This will be helpful for the B2B customers to check the LPN information in the export report.
