External Apps

Introduction

Vinculum’s eRetail application interacts with multiple third-party systems like payment gateways, wallets, financial & e-filling systems, etc in order to exchange the information between eRetail and 3rd party systems. In order to enable the integration between the systems, the same needs to be configured using the External Apps screen. External Apps screen allows the user to configure and enable the integration between the eRetail and other third-party systems.

Some of the examples are:-

    2. ZohoBooks (upcoming)
  3. Wallets

    3. Freecharge, etc

  5. Payment Gateway
    1. PayU

Workflow

  1. User needs to navigate to Master > Miscellaneous > External Apps Enquiry
  2. On the External Apps Enquiry screen, user will be able to view/ edit/ delete the existig added external apps or user can add a new external app(s).


3. There are 3 search filter on the External Apps Enquiry screen:-

  1.   ExtAppsType- This dropdown lists all the primary type of the external apps like Tax Setting (Supertax, Cleartax and Avalara), Accounting (Xero), Wallets (Paytm, Mobkwik), etc.

 

b. ExtAppsName- This dropdown allows the user to filter the result on the basis of the external apps like PayU, Supertax, Xero, Patym, etc.



c. ExtAppsDesc- This text-based search allows the user to filter out the added external apps on the basis of external apps description.


4. On the External Apps screen, following columns are present over the grid section:-

  1. Image:- It shows the image for the external apps
  2. Ext Apps Sub Id:- It is a system generated unique no. for each external apps.
  3. ExtAppsDesc:- It shows the external app description added while creating the external app. ExtAppsDesc can renamed even after creation. It is a very friendly name.
  4. ExtAppsType:- This shows the master type of the added external apps like Tax Setting (Supertax, Cleartax and Avalara), Accounting (Xero), Wallets (Paytm, Mobkwik), etc.
  5. Status:- This shows the status of the external app, whether it is action or inactive.
  6. Registration Date:- It is the date when the external apps were created on the application.
  7. Action:- This allows the user to delete the added external app. Once an external app is deleted, it cannot be retrieved back

 
5. In order to add a new external ap Once an external apps is deleted, then it cannot be retrieved.

6. User needs to click on the “Add New” button available at the top right section of the External Apps Enquiry screen.

7. After clicking on the “Add New” button, user needs to select the ExtAppsType and then needs to select the ExtAppsName from the options available in the dropdown.

8. Each External app has separate set of configuration parameters in order to make it active/ working. Once user selects the ExtAppsType and ExtAppsName, then all set of configurations required to enable that external app will auto populate on the screen. User needs to fill all the required fields and needs to select the status as “Active”.
