Brands having their website on Magento/Shopify can do customizations in Orders etc depending upon the business requirements that they have and most of the times such attributes are not the part of standard integration that Magento/Shopify or other webshops have.

Vin-eRetail have a provision by the name of additional mappings available in webshops like Magento, Shopify etc.

Here user only must map the Custom Attribute present in API response of Webshops with the UDFs in which they want to save the value.

Below is the screenshot explaining on how to map the Custom/Additional Attributes with UDFs available in Order/Create Edit screen in Vin-eRetail.

Navigation: Sales>Manage Channels> Add New or Select the channel from the list (webshop)> Channel Maintenance Screen>Additional Mapping

  1. Users should select the type as “Order” or “Order Details” from the dropdown box. This means that the “code” attribute value to be stored at Order header level UDF (user-defined fields in the Order section). If the type is “Order Detail,” the value starts saving on the line Items of the UDF mapped.
  2. Tag name is the name of the additional attribute or custom attribute present in the response of webshops. User can give any name present in the API response of the web-shop.
  3. Mapping is the name of the UDFs present in Vin-eRetail Order create/Edit screen, e.g. UDF 1, 2, 3…9

User can set up to 15 custom/additional attributes at order header or line level.

After doing the mappings, user must click the save button. After saving the channel, whenever a new order is created, the value of the custom/additional attribute is available in the UDF mapped to it.

For example:  Navigation: Sales>Order Create/Edit

The value of “code” attribute starts saving in Order’s UDF3 that was mapped by the user, e.g. Delhi Shipping

Now, based on this value, user can configure OMS rules for Order Validation or Order routing and accordingly the system performs the action on the order.

For Example: Navigation: Sales>OMS Rules

In the below example, the Order UDF3 if contain “South Region,” (along with the site code), the order can be routed to a particular warehouse, e.g., “MH2-WH-MH2.”
