Seller can only create multiple channels when there are multiple locations created at the marketplaces like Flipkart, Amazon Flex etc. Let us take an example to understand this better.
Let's take a hypothetical case in which a user has 3 physical warehouses on Flipkart: - Faridabad, Mumbai, and Chennai. User has also created 3 locations on Flipkart. In such case, the user must create 3 channels of Flipkart on eRetail for 3 locations.
User can only create multiple channels basis the active warehouse locations. There is no need to create multiple channels for a seller having single location or for a marketplace not supporting the multi-location feature.
How to create multiple channels of Flipkart?
To continue, we will proceed with our previous example wherein the user has created 1 channel of Flipkart on Vin-eRetail. (Pls see Flipkart Marketplace document to make a new channel on Vin eRetail).
To create multiple channels, follow the below steps: -
1. Go to Sales>Manage Channels.
2. Enter the Channel name/channel code, e.g., Flipkart in this case.
3. Click on the channel code and open the existing Flipkart channel (it is already configured by the user).
4. Click on "Copy Channel" tab present on top right hand corner. Click "OK."
5. All the Channel details will be copied to this new channel. (You can see there is no channel code and it is not configured yet on Vin-eRetail. Click on Configure Interface.
6. All the details on channel configuration are same as of the previous channel. User must change the location ID (See the Markteplace document to know how to fetch Location ID from Flipkart). After entering the fields that are empty, click on “OK.”
7. Enter the warehouse location on the Channel Maintenance screen in both Order and Inventory sections.
8. View the details that are prefilled in the channel maintenance screen. Fill the important entries and click on “Save” on the top right side of the window.
9.Upon saving, you can view the “Record saved successfully” on top. A new channel code is created with a new location and it will show that a new channel is configured.
10. Similarly, the user can Copy Channel and create various channels on Flipkart with different Location ID.
